About Himalayan Trek Ventures (HTV)

Himalayan Trek Ventures began with one clear feeling that trekking in Nepal had lost its soul.

It all started when our founder, Rosa Gole, went on a trek to Langtang Valley. For her trekking was supposed to be like meditation, something that required patience.

But to her surprise she saw every other travelers being rushed through the trails of Langtang.The stories of Himalayas went unheard, the hidden beauty of region went unexplored.

In fact, right after reaching her home she saw every other mountains were being sold like products, and the people who made every journey possible were being forgotten. She wanted to change that.

Rosa grew up close to the Himalayas, where travelers and locals crossed paths but rarely connected. She saw beauty on both sides the excitement of visitors discovering Nepal and the quiet dignity of the people who lived here. Himalayan Trek Ventures was born to bring those two worlds together again.

We believe trekking should not feel like a transaction. It should feel like a shared story between those who come to see and those who call these mountains home. That is the bridge we are rebuilding between adventure and emotion, comfort and authenticity.

Our Mission

To make trekking human again.

We design journeys that connect travelers with local people, landscapes, and emotions. Every trail we walk tells a story of courage, traditions, and small moments that stay in your heart long after the trip ends.

Our goal is not only to reach the destination but to feel it.

We want travelers to return home with more than photographs with understanding, perspective, and gratitude. When you walk with us, you walk with local families, mountain women, and guides who see these trails as part of their life, not just their work.

Our next mission is to inspire and train a new generation of Nepali women to become trekking guides. In Nepal, only about one in seventy-five licensed guides are female, and we want to change that. 

Like our founder, many women in Nepal share a deep love for the mountains, but lack opportunities and support. Himalayan Trek Ventures aims to open that path by offering training, mentorship, and real field experience so that any individual can lead with confidence on the trails they call home.

Our Vision

To lead a new generation of trekking companies in Nepal that blend authentic local roots with modern transparency and care.

We imagine a tourism model where every guide, porter, and village benefits fairly, where travelers experience the real Nepal with safety and respect, and where female leadership in adventure is normal, not rare.

In ten years, we want Himalayan Trek Ventures to be remembered as the company that changed how people felt about trekking ; from something they did to something they understood.

Not just that, we also have a vision to help nepali tourist visit destinations like Bhutan.

5. Community Empowerment: We train and hire local women and youth, support homestays, and promote eco-friendly trekking. We keep income inside the villages, not in city offices. Additionally certain part of our income goes directly to “mountain fund”. This fund earned earned in the Himalayas in spent to uplift the himalayas.

6. Comfort with Care: Adventure does not have to be rough. We balance comfort and authenticity, clean lodges, caring staff, warm meals, and small personal touches like hot tea after a long day.

Our Team

Rosa Gole: Founder, Managing Director & Operations Manager

Rosa is the heart of Himalayan Trek Ventures. With the hands on experience of mountain tourism, she leads operations and designs treks with emotional storytelling and cultural depth. She believes adventure is not about loud achievement but quiet discovery. 

As a young women herself, she is also passionate about helping other women in the field of tourism and building fair opportunities for local guides and families.

Naresh Gole: Co-founder & Logistics Expert

Naresh makes sure that every journey runs smoothly behind the scenes. He handles route management, transport, and communication with local partners. 

Calm and reliable, he is known for solving problems before they appear. Travelers often say his quiet efficiency makes them feel safe and cared for.

Karna Bahadur Tamang: Key Planner & Tour Strategist

Karna grew up in the hills of Nepal and knows the rhythm of the trails by heart. His deep understanding of routes, weather, and local culture helps us plan treks that are both beautiful and realistic. Additionally, he is also our cultural bridge; helping travelers understand the local world with simplicity and respect.
